Protocols
In September 2006, the Cultural Ministers Council agreed to develop a document to clarify and guide negotiations and relationships between jurisdictions, especially relating to bilateral and multilateral agreements. In November 2006, the Standing Committee established the Protocols Working Group to develop these protocols.
The working group was chaired by Queensland. Other participating jurisdictions were the Australian Government, the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, the Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria. Other members ca me from the Australia Council and the Australian Local Government Association.
In February 2008, the Cultural Ministers Council decided that work on protocols would occur as part of the development of the Cultural Ministers Council Strategy for the Arts and Culture and that the working group ceased.
