Better Cultural Delivery Systems

Better Cultural Delivery Systems

In 1992, the Better Cultural Delivery Systems Working Group was formed to develop the following:

  • More effective and extensive use of nationally significant cultural product and producers
  • More efficient delivery systems
  • Increased opportunities for creators (directors, writers, choreographers, composers) throughout Australia
  • Increased access to cultural material of excellence for isolated rural communities in Australia

A consolidated report was produced which was considered at the 1994 Cultural Ministers Council meeting.

The priorities for the working group were:

  • Increased touring of nationally significant performances, exhibitions and products
  • Increased collaborative opportunities
  • Increased access to nationally significant heritage collections
  • Allocation and/or reallocation of funds to priority projects

The Standing Committee decided to formally cease the Better Cultural Delivery Systems Working Group at the November 1993 meeting.
